I've Been Tagged

Thinking Blog Award Chrissie at Theodore's World has informed me that I have won a Thinking Blogger Award. Thank you Chrissie! Chrissie is a very dear friend and also has a wonderful "thinking blog". No military member or veteran could wish for a better friend. She keeps focused on the needs of our troops, the conservative values that are lacking in this nation and current outrages perpetrated by the left. I don't know what ever possessed her to think that I'm a thinking blogger, when I'm usually in a frothy rage, rarin' to bust a few caps and usually call for heads to roll. I can think of a dozen or more bloggers who are far better thinkers than I am, this makes it difficult to decide, since she has named some of the front runners already. The meme being to list only 5 blogs that make you think is a challenge because those are the very blogs that I frequent the most and there are many more than five of them. Like my predecessor I will only list people who I think will "play" and haven't already been tagged, those who make me think, do some research and profit from the learning process. Since five of my sources have already been outed by Chrissie I'll have to look elsewhere: #1 Lets take Rodger's site Curmudgeonly & Skeptical, where Rodger's sense of humor is uplifting, his political insight is a national treasure and his patriotism is unfailing, I go there often to learn and get the soul refreshed. #2 There is Denny at Grouch Old Cripple in Atlanta. Denny is a no nonsense patriot who 'calls 'em like he sees 'em', he has the fortitued to call the idiots out when they get out of line, he has a particular insight into the murky left's mechanizations and machiavellian moves that always makes me think. He doesn't miss the little things that most of us gloss over and calls Bullshit on it!!!. Denny makes me think. #3 Howard at Oraculations comes to mind, Howard usually has a well written compilation of current events with commentary that is sharp and sometimes stinging, when I need an inspiration to blog I visit his site, Howard makes me think too. #4 The Right WingRocker has a thought provoking blog, he's patriotic and calls the left what they are, traitors. He has posted some of the best fisks I've seen. #5 Then there is Beth at Yeah Right Whatever who has a moderate and tempered approach to the daily travails, she rarely if ever uses any profanity and still gets the message out, a patriotic supporter of the troops, a staunch conservative and dedicated home maker. I know this is more than the requisit five nominees but they are on my daily read also. Gone!!! On a sad note we are losing a staunch supporter of the troops and a loyal American blogger, this Marine has thrown in the towel, can't say I blame him, I see many of the same reasons to fold my tent, if you have the time swing by GOC's last post and wish him well, I have checked in on him everyday for a long time now and he'll be sorely missed. # Lastly Guy at Charming Just Charming is a favorite, this old Non-Com is one tough dude, he pulls no punches and is as salty as any Gunny I've been around, just when you start feeling that you might relent and forgive the asshats, Guy puts up some libertarian common sense that snaps you right out of it. Yeah he's a thinker and he has already been nominated. Congratulations, you have won a Thinking Blogger! If you decide to participate the rules are simple: 1.
